The main raw materials for producing TTO high-speed coding carbon strips include the following:
1、 Base materials
The base material is the foundation of carbon ribbon, which carries the ink layer and determines the overall performance of the carbon ribbon. Common base materials include polyester film (PET), which have good mechanical properties and chemical stability, ensuring that the carbon ribbon maintains stable performance during the printing process.
2、 Ink layer material
The ink layer is the core part of the carbon ribbon, which determines the quality of the printing effect. The material of the ink layer will also vary depending on the type of carbon ribbon. It mainly includes the following types:
Wax based ink: mainly made of wax and carbon, with good printing effect and adhesion, suitable for printing on general paper. However, the wear resistance and scratch resistance of wax based ink are relatively poor, making it unsuitable for labels that require long-term storage or frequent contact.
Resin based ink: mainly made of resin, it has excellent wear resistance, scratch resistance, and chemical resistance, suitable for labels that need to be printed on special materials or stored for a long time. But the price of resin based ink is relatively high.
Mixed base ink: Combining the advantages of wax based and resin based inks, it not only has good printing effects, but also has certain wear resistance and scratch resistance, suitable for printing on various materials.
3、 Back coating material
The back coating mainly serves to protect the substrate and ink layer, while also helping to improve the printing effect and service life of the carbon ribbon. The back coating material is usually some special resin or adhesive, which can ensure good contact between the carbon ribbon and the print head during the printing process, thereby improving the printing quality.
4、 Release agent layer material
The release agent layer is mainly applied on the other side of the ink layer to prevent adhesion between the ink layer and the substrate, and also helps protect the print head from wear and tear. Release agent layer materials are usually substances with low surface tension, such as silicone oil.
In summary, the main raw materials for producing TTO high-speed coding carbon strips include base materials, ink layer materials (wax based, resin based, or mixed based), back coating materials, and release agent layer materials. The selection and ratio of these raw materials will directly affect the printing effect, service life, and applicability of carbon ribbon.
