When storing BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene) synthetic label paper, the following precautions should be taken:

1、 Environmental requirements

Dry and ventilated: BOPP synthetic label paper should be stored in a dry environment to avoid moisture causing paper deformation or affecting printing and adhesion effects. Maintaining ventilation also helps prevent mold growth.

Avoid direct sunlight: Prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause the paper to fade or age, reducing the visual effect and adhesion performance of the label. Therefore, label paper should be stored in a cool and shady place.

Suitable temperature and humidity: It is recommended to store the label paper at room temperature to avoid exposure to extreme temperatures. Excessive temperature may cause the adhesive to melt, while insufficient temperature may make the label fragile. At the same time, humidity should be controlled within a relatively stable range, generally between 45% and 55%, to avoid label paper deterioration or adhesive failure caused by excessive humidity.

2、 Packaging and stacking

Outer packaging protection: The label paper should have an outer packaging, and it is recommended to use plastic film to seal the packaging to isolate dust, moisture, and external pollution. After each use, seal and package again to keep the label clean and dry.

Scientific stacking: Label paper should not come into direct contact with the ground or wall to prevent the adsorption of dust and moisture. When stacking, moisture-proof paper or film packaging should be sealed properly. Roll up labels should be stacked upright, and flat label labels should be stored flat. At the same time, the stacking height should not be too high, generally not exceeding 1 meter, and the goods should be placed at least 10 centimeters above the ground (with wooden planks) to prevent deformation under pressure.

3、 Management and maintenance

Following the principle of "first in, first out": In order to avoid quality problems such as discoloration and glue overflow of labels due to long-term inventory, warehouse management should strictly implement the "first in, first out" system. Regularly check inventory and prioritize the use of labels that were received earlier to ensure that the labels are always in optimal condition for use.

Regular inspection and maintenance: Regularly inspect the storage environment to ensure that the insulation and humidity control equipment is operating normally and the packaging is well sealed. At the same time, observe whether there are signs of discoloration, deformation, or adhesive failure on the label, and take timely measures to deal with them.

4、 Other precautions

Avoid contact with chemicals: Some chemicals may react with the adhesive on the sticker, causing a decrease in its stickiness or deformation of the label. Therefore, during storage, it is advisable to avoid exposing BOPP synthetic label paper to chemicals such as solvents, acids, and bases.

Reduce direct contact: Try to minimize direct contact with paper, especially when hands are wet or greasy, to avoid contaminating the paper or affecting printing and adhesion effects. Wash hands promptly after using paper.

In summary, BOPP synthetic label paper needs to pay attention to environmental requirements, packaging and stacking, management and maintenance, and other related matters when stored. Only by following these precautions can we ensure that label paper maintains optimal performance during storage and extends its lifespan.
