Tire rubber is a key material used in tire manufacturing, mainly composed of the following components:
1、 Natural rubber
Source: Mainly derived from rubber trees, it is a natural polymer compound.
Composition: Mainly composed of cis-1,4-polyisoprene, of which 91%~94% are rubber hydrocarbons, and the rest are non rubber substances such as proteins and fatty acids.
Characteristics: With superior comprehensive performance, it is an important component in tire manufacturing, especially for high-end tires that often use natural rubber.
2、 Synthetic rubber
Types: including styrene butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, etc.
Styrene butadiene rubber: Its physical and mechanical properties, processing performance, and product performance are similar to natural rubber, and its wear resistance, heat resistance, and other properties are better. It is widely used in the production of tires and other products.
Butadiene rubber: polymerized from butadiene, with a cis structure content of over 95%. After vulcanization, it has excellent cold resistance, wear resistance, and elasticity, and is suitable for automotive tires, etc.
Butyl rubber: synthesized from isobutene and a small amount of isoprene, it has excellent heat resistance, ozone resistance, and chemical stability, and is commonly used in automotive tires and soundproofing products.
Features: Obtained through artificial synthesis, it has different physical and chemical properties and can be selected and proportioned according to the needs of the tire.
3、 Chemical additives
Carbon black: enhance the wear resistance and anti-aging performance of tires.
Aromatic oil: improves the processing performance of rubber and reduces production costs.
Petroleum resin: improves the hardness and wear resistance of tires.
Sulfur and vulcanization additives: used in the vulcanization process of rubber to form cross-linked structures between rubber molecules, thereby improving the strength and durability of tires.
4、 Other components
Tire rubber base material: Condensed room temperature vulcanized silicone, with good fluidity, low shrinkage rate, and good tensile strength. The appearance of tire rubber is a flowing liquid, with component A being silicone and component B being a curing agent.
These components play important roles in tire rubber, and through precise proportioning and processing, they collectively endow tires with excellent physical and chemical properties. Therefore, the composition of tire rubber is an indispensable part of tire manufacturing and is crucial for the performance and quality of tires.
