The installation process of the small roll of thermal label paper is relatively simple, but the specific steps may vary by brand and model of thermal printer. The following is a general installation procedure for reference:
1. Preparatory work
Make sure the thermal printer is powered on and in standby mode.
Prepare a small roll of heat-sensitive label paper and check whether it is intact, especially whether the adhesive paper at the interface has been torn.
2. Open the printer cover
Facing the front of the machine, gently open the top or side cover of the printer by following the directions on the printer (such as the direction of the arrow). Different printers may be designed differently, some side doors, some on the door, need to operate according to the actual situation.
3. Load the paper roll
Take out the prepared roll of thermal label paper, pay attention to the front and back sides of the label paper, usually the thermal side (that is, the printing side) needs to face the inside of the printer.
According to the inner diameter of the paper roll, select the appropriate paper roll and load the paper roll into the paper roll. Some printers may already be equipped with a paper reel, at which point you simply slip the roll in.
Place the paper reel containing the paper roll into the printer in the direction indicated inside the printer.
4. Pass through the paper guide
Gently pull part of the roll through the printer's paper guide holder. The role of the paper guide holder is to fix the two sides of the paper to prevent the paper from shifting during the printing process.
According to the width of the paper, adjust the position of the paper guide holder, so that it is tightly fitted to both sides of the paper.
5. Close the printer cover
After verifying that the roll is properly installed and the paper path is correct, gently close the top or side cover of the printer.
A click is heard, indicating that the top cover or side cover is locked in place.
6. Print the test
To make sure the installation is correct, you can run a print test. Select the print test page or other document on the printer and observe the print effect.
If the printed label is clear and accurate, the installation is successful. If you find problems, such as blurred handwriting, position offset, etc., you need to check that the paper is installed correctly, or adjust the relevant Settings of the printer.
Matters needing attention
During installation, handle the paper roll and printer parts gently to avoid damage.
Ensure that the thermal label is placed face down and the path of the paper is correct.
If the printer has not been used for a long time or has been replaced with a new roll type, a printer calibration or setting adjustment may be required.
If you encounter any problems during use, refer to the printer's user manual or contact after-sales service for help.
