There are a variety of printing methods of color copperplate label paper, mainly including the following:
1. Offset printing:
Advantages: offset printing is outstanding in fine dot printing, suitable for small batch label printing, short cycle, strong flexibility.
Disadvantages: Line, field printing effect and printing saturation may not be as good as other printing methods. After offset printing, offline die-cutting, cold ironing, glazing and other processes are required, and the wired printing process cannot be realized like flexo printing.
2. Gravure printing:
Advantages: field printing and printing color saturation is better than offset printing, color difference control is more convenient.
Disadvantages: Not suitable for printing small outlets and rich layers of trademarks. The paper path of the copper label material on the gravure mark is long, and the chance of static electricity is greater. Gravure plate making cost is high, the cycle is long, more suitable for long plate label printing.
3. Letterpress printing:
Advantages: Suitable for printing field and line trademarks, the color difference control of the same batch of products is easier, and the cost is lower than gravure and flexo printing.
Disadvantages: The effect of printing small dots is not ideal, and ink bars are easy to appear. Although the cost and cycle of plate making are lower than intaglio and flexo, the printing resistance of the plate is also lower.
4. Flexo printing:
Advantages: printing and post-processing technology can be completed in one go to achieve connected production and improve production efficiency.
Disadvantages: The specific printing effect may not be as good as other printing methods.
5. Screen printing (silk-screen printing) :
Features: Screen printing may not be as economical as printing copper labels directly on the bottle.
6. Heat transfer printing:
Features: Suitable for transferring patterns from paper to plastic and other materials, but the cost is higher.
In addition, with the continuous development of technology, there is the possibility of new printing methods. When selecting the printing method, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the specific needs of the label, application scenarios, cost budget, and technical equipment and capabilities of the printing plant.
In general, different printing methods have their advantages and disadvantages, and are suitable for different printing needs and scenarios. In practical applications, the most suitable printing method can be selected according to the specific situation to ensure the printing quality and effect.
