Material properties. PET film is a plastic film material with low and medium surface energy, and surface pretreatment is required before printing to improve surface energy or wetting ability, otherwise the firmness of ink and ribbon is not good and easy to fall off.
Basic methods of surface pretreatment. By means of high voltage discharge, the surface energy of the material is increased. There are two methods: pretreatment by the supplier at the time of making the material and on-line processing on the printing press. The surface tension of the treated film is required to reach more than 38dyn.
The use of matching special inks, glazing oils and ribbons should be tested in advance.
Control the thickness of the ink layer, dry thoroughly, and pay attention to the ink overprinting part to prevent the ink below from drying.
